ISGR (incorporating IHGR) is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School and one of only 7 percent in the world achieving authorisation to offer the full continuum of education including:
ISGR also offers the Swedish National Curriculum from grade 0 (6 years old) to grade 9 taught in Swedish but with an international profile.
IHGR (grades10 to 12) also offers the following two national programmes taught in English:
For eligible students, we have a Pre and After School Learning programme called PAL ("fritids").
Council of International Schools (CIS)
Since 2008, ISGR has maintained accreditation by the Council of International Schools (CIS) for grades K-10, in our PYP and MYP Programmes, and also grades 0–9 in the National Section. The CIS makes regular visits to ensure adherence to new standards and new Goals with the last visit in 2014 producing a positive report on the School's progress.
The International Baccalaureate (IB)
The curriculum for our PYP, MYP and IB programmes is accredited by The International Baccalaureate (IB) organization. In order to offer one or more of the IB programmes of education, schools must complete an extensive authorisation process. ISGR is one of the very few schools in Europe to achieve authorisation for the three programmes.
Swedish Education Agency (Skolverket)
The Swedish school authorities (Skolverket) make regular inspections to authorise the programmes and ensure high quality. All our grade 9 students qualify for the national high school.
